su-sur-rus
A whispering or rustling sound
~~ Merriam-Webster

Autumn leaves. A fast moving stream. A hidden waterfall. A possum in the treetops, or the wind among the branches. A hot shower in the morning. A mother soothing her child. Rain on the roof. Waves breaking over rocks. Hushed conversation. Snooping under the Christmas tree. Hawaiian skirts on hula hips. Inside a crowded theatre, a discreetly opened packet of chips. A beaded curtain swaying. Her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle. The murmured “I love you” between vows.
